Weekly Jewellery Making Classes

Have you ever wanted to learn the skills needed to make your own jewellery?

From January 2024, in partnership with Orchard Jewellery Workshop in Kingswood, owned and run by Make It With Kim, I offer weekly classes that will introduce you to the essential bench skills needed to begin making your own unique jewellery designs.

Throughout the year Orchard Jewellery Workshop offers six terms of 6 weekly classes, in line with South Gloucestershire School term dates.

Term 4 begins on February 19th.

My weekly classes take place on:

Wednesday Afternoons

12.30pm - 3pm

Thursday          Evenings

6.30pm - 9pm

Each class has a mix of students with different experience levels.  This means that those who are more confident can begin to undertake their own, independent projects.  At the same time, over the 6 week term, students who are just beginning their metalworking journey will be given the opportunity to focus on learning a different key skill.  This will enable you to grow in confidence and to bring your ideas to life.  We will explore saw skills, texturing techniques & soldering, before bringing those skills together to create a unique jewellery piece.

Tuition is centred around developing fundamental skills that will enable you to explore your interests with confidence.  All current students are given priority opportunity to re-enrol for subsequent terms to take your skills even further, before remaining spaces are made available to new students.

Suitable for complete beginners as well as those who are more confident, you will be immersed in a friendly and supportive creative environment with guidance and support from an experienced artisan maker and tutor.  The workshop is comprehensively equipped and the wide range of resources available in-class is complemented by guidance for those wishing to discover more in their own time.

Course fees include personalised, small group tuition, use of tools, basic materials and consumables. A selection of silver and gemstones can be purchased from the tutor and a suppliers list will be provided for any students who wish to acquire their own materials or tools.
